How We Plan | The Discoverability Company

The Plan Phase

A plan tailored to you

Plan is the second of the four steps we run on every engagement, the point where what Research found turns into an actual plan for your situation, priced honestly and kept confidential from the start.

Where plan fits

The step between knowing and doing

We are not spam, and we do not chase cheap backlinks. We build a specific plan for your situation, treat it with the confidentiality it deserves, and tell you plainly what it will take.

What that plan looks like depends entirely on what Research turned up. Sometimes it is one well-scoped job: a single court record, a single review situation, one branded search that needs to be rebuilt. Sometimes it is a fuller program that runs for months. Either way, you see the plan and the price before anything moves.

The four-step process

This page is Plan, the second step. Research comes first, so we already know what is actually out there. Execute and Monitor come after, once the plan itself is approved.

How we plan every engagement

Four things that do not change

Quality over quantity

We take on a small number of engagements at a time, so your project gets senior attention instead of a queue.

Transparent and direct

We tell you the truth upfront about what will not move. We would rather lose work than oversell it.

Clear, upfront pricing

A la carte, no retainers, no long contracts. You see the number before we begin, and it is published openly.

Discreet by default

Reputation work is sensitive. Your situation, and the fact that you hired anyone at all, stays between us.

Confidentiality

What happens between us stays between us

Reputation work is sensitive by nature. Some clients are dealing with a legal matter, some are worried about how a competitor or an ex would react, and some just do not want a vendor relationship made public. We do not publish client logos, we do not name anyone in a case study without asking first, and we do not discuss an engagement with anyone outside it.

This is also why we do not do outbound cold pitching or build marketing lists off of client work. What you tell us during planning stays with the people actually doing the work, full stop.

Pricing and quality

Priced by the job

We work a la carte. No retainer, no long contract, and no bundle you have to buy in full to get the one piece you actually need. You see a specific number for specific work before anything starts, and you approve it. See exactly how that compares to the retainer model most firms use: Us vs the big reputation firms

Part of planning well is also saying no to shortcuts. We do not build cheap backlink networks, buy reviews, or run the kind of spam tactics that get a site penalized six months later. If a tactic would not survive a plain explanation of how it works, we do not use it.

Who we take on

A small number of engagements, on purpose

We turn down more work than we take. Drew reviews every engagement personally, and that only works if the list stays short enough for one person to actually know each situation. If we are not the right fit, or the timeline does not work, we tell you plainly. Read more about how that works: About

A plan beats a guess.

Tell us where things stand. We will tell you honestly what a plan for your situation looks like, and what it costs.
