  • Your phone numbers, current and old. The object of the job. Old numbers sit in these records long after you stop answering them, and these sites often display the number back to you at the confirmation step, which is what lets us confirm the right person came down.
  • Your street address, city, state, and ZIP. The other object of the job. City matters more than you would think: a state is not specific enough to tell two people with your name apart, and a wrong match is how the wrong record gets touched.

Can you remove my phone number from Google?

Not directly, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. A search engine is showing you what some other site published, so the source page has to come down first. Once it has, we send those pages back to the search engines so they look again and drop the old copy, and where a result is still hanging around after the page behind it is gone, we use the search engine’s own tool for clearing exactly that.
