Reputation Management for Surgeons | Discoverability Co

For people / Surgeons

Your name search is part of your outcomes record.

Patients read everything under your name before the consult, and referring physicians run the same search. Privacy law keeps you from responding the way anyone else could. We work inside those lines, and we handle it quietly.

The problem you already know

Patients decide who to trust before the consult

Most surgeons meet this problem by accident. You search your own name one evening, or a patient mentions a review during a consult, and there it is: one angry account sitting near the top of your name search, ahead of years of good outcomes. Every practice has complications at a known rate. Reviews never carry the denominator.

What makes it different for you is that you cannot answer. Privacy law means you cannot confirm the reviewer was ever your patient, let alone correct the story. You can flag it and wait, and most flags change nothing. Meanwhile, referred patients search your name before they book, ask AI assistants about you, and quietly choose based on what they find. When a referral does not convert, nobody calls to tell you why.

You already have the harder job. Here is exactly what hiring us looks like, in four steps and plain English.

01 Research · Getting the lay of the land

First we find out what patients actually see

We start where a referred patient starts. Your name. Your name plus reviews. Your procedure and your city. We run them on Google and in the AI assistants, because patients now ask both, and the answers disagree more often than you would expect. A surgeon can look fine on Google and be missing entirely when an assistant is asked to recommend someone for the exact procedure they perform most.

Then we audit the profiles that answer for you: Google, Healthgrades, Vitals, and the rest. Wrong specialty on one, an old hospital affiliation on another, a photo from a decade ago. Patients read those errors as carelessness, and referring physicians and credentialing committees see the same pages. Where the situation calls for it, we go deeper with a full digital background check covering the public record, board actions, and coverage of past cases.

02 Plan · Spelled out in plain language

Then we lay it out in plain English

We walk you through what the research found, what should change first, what it costs, and what to expect month by month. We take complicated work and make it simple. Nothing starts until you understand every line and say yes.

You have probably seen what happens to doctors who paid someone to game their reviews. We never fake a review, buy one, or ask a patient to bend the truth. We design each step with patient privacy, platform terms, and your compliance review in mind.

03 Execute · This is where we shine

Then we handle all of it, quietly

From here the doing is our job. We correct the profiles. We build or repair your website so it answers what patients actually ask before surgery. We set up review management so patients can be asked for feedback at the right moment. Where a review deserves a response, we draft one that is courteous, factual, and written with patient privacy in mind for your approval. Whatever else the plan calls for, we handle it. You get back to your cases.

Most of our medical work is confidential, which is how you would want it. We measure the work without exposing the client: profile accuracy, review coverage, page-one composition, and the sources AI assistants use when a referred patient checks a surgeon's background.

04 Monitor · You should not have to watch this

Then we keep watch between cases

Your name search moves without telling you. New reviews land, directories overwrite good data with bad, AI assistants revise their answers. Tracking that is not a good use of a surgeon's hours, so it is ours. We check your footprint weekly and send a monthly note in plain English: what changed, what we did about it, and what comes next. It reads between cases.

There is a second reason we watch closely. If something catches fire, a review picking up steam, a story about a case, a sudden swing in what an assistant says about you, we are not opening a chart cold. We know your baseline and we can begin responding the same day. That is what crisis response looks like when the people responding already know your history.

In their own words

People with names to protect on working with us

We have worked with surgeons and physicians before. You will not hear their names from us, which is the point. The reviews below are from clients who chose to speak publicly, and the words are theirs.

“Drew Chapin’s digital technical skills are top-notch, but what truly sets him apart is his ability to strategically deploy these talents. ... He approaches projects with a marketing mindset that maximizes impact and makes the technology work harder for your goals.”

William Livolsi
★★★★★

“We had the pleasure of working with Drew Chapin and his team at Discoverability Co. Although the work was delivered 2 weeks late, I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the quality. Worth the wait ... I do plan on working with Drew again and encourage you to, too.”

Christian Richardson
★★★★★

“Drew and the entire Discoverability Team were a dream to work with. They explained the steps, the timelines, the outcomes, and every aspect of the process exactly as I needed ... Perhaps most importantly, every single time I called them, they answered the phone.”

Answering a review without crossing privacy law is the hard part. That is the part we do.

Every review, directory profile, and AI summary carrying your name gets read and sorted: what a platform's own rules let us pursue, and what we outrank instead. No patient is ever discussed, and no client of ours is ever named.

If you would rather look before you talk to anyone, the free scan reads your first page of Google results and tags what helps and what hurts.
