Opposition Research on Yourself | Discoverability Co

For people / Political Campaigns

You have a race to run. We handle what the internet says about you.

Voters, donors, and reporters all search your name, and now they ask AI assistants too. We find what is out there before anyone else does, close what can be closed, and build the record you want leading.

The problem you already know

Every race starts with a search

Before a donor writes a check, before a reporter writes a word, before an undecided voter makes up their mind, someone types your name into a search bar. What comes back can be decades old. A court filing, a forgotten post, a quote you gave once, a photo you never thought about again. Things that did not look like a problem at the time have a way of coming back when the stakes change.

If the race is contested, the other side treats your name as a project. They pull records, archive old posts, and hold what they find until the moment it does the most damage. Deleting things quietly does not work; recovered posts become their own story. And there is a newer wrinkle: a growing share of voters ask an AI assistant about candidates, and those assistants answer with full confidence even when they are wrong.

This applies well beyond statewide races. School board candidates, city council members, and appointees facing confirmation all carry real exposure. The answer in every case is the same: know what is out there before anyone else does. Here is exactly how we do that, in four steps and plain English.

01 Research · Getting the lay of the land

First we run the opposition research on you

Before we change anything, we run the searches everyone else will run. Your name on the first page of Google. Court records, financial filings, and the public record. Your social history across every platform, going back years. And the AI assistants, because what they say about a candidate often does not match what the search results say, and almost nobody checks.

You get a documented, unflinching audit of exactly what is out there: what helps, what hurts, what is missing, and what would surface under pressure. Nothing in it will surprise you mid-cycle, because you saw it first. The full scope of that audit is written up in our digital background check for political campaigns.

02 Plan · Spelled out in plain language

Then we brief you on the plan

A pile of findings is not a plan. We sit down with you, or with the committee, and walk through what the audit found and what to do about each piece: what can be closed, what needs a prepared response, and what the record should say instead. We take complicated work and make it simple. You will understand every line, and every dollar, before you say yes to anything. No jargon, no padding, no surprise invoices. Campaigns have seen enough vendors who cost a lot and explain little.

03 Execute · This is where we shine

Then we work the plan, quietly

Then the work starts, and it stays quiet. We close the records that can be closed. We build or repair the campaign and personal websites that should own the first page. We place earned media that says what you actually stand for, keep your profiles consistent everywhere a voter might look, and work on what the AI assistants say when someone asks about you. Whatever the plan calls for, we handle it. You get back to the race.

The work gets measured, and our published case studies show the same record-closing and page-one mechanics with numbers attached. Campaign engagements stay out of them by design: we do not name the campaigns we work for, and no one learns about this engagement from us. For people whose vendors can become the story, that discretion is part of the product.

04 Monitor · You should not have to watch this

Then we watch it through the cycle

A race moves daily and search results move with it. New coverage lands, old material resurfaces, AI assistants revise their answers. You have doors to knock and calls to make, so the watching is our job. We check your footprint weekly and send a plain-English report on what changed, what we did about it, and what comes next. It is short enough to read between stops, and it works for the candidate and the committee alike.

Watching closely is also what makes rapid response real. If an oppo hit drops or a story starts spreading faster than it deserves, we are not starting from zero. We already hold your file, and we can begin responding the same day. That is what crisis response looks like when the people responding compiled the research themselves.

In their own words

From people who had something on the line

The opposition will do this research. We would rather do it first.

Court files, old posts, old quotes, whatever the AI assistants now volunteer about you. We surface all of it, close what can be closed, and have the answer ready for what cannot. Quietly, always.

If you would rather look before you talk to anyone, the free scan reads your first page of Google results and tags what helps and what hurts.
